Once after a war Prophet (P.B.U.H) told the literate prisoners to teach ten Muslim children for a certain period of time in exchange of freedom. When a Muslim meets another, he greets him by saying ‘al-Salam Alaykum’ which means ‘Peace be upon you’ and the other’s reply would be ‘Alaykum al-Salam’ meaning ‘Upon you be Peace.’ The Holy Quran says, The Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) always spread the message of peace with Muslims as well as with non-Muslims. True Muslim leaders are known for characteristics such as peace, kindness and forgiveness. If the Muslim ummah unites and works peacefully, Islam can be advanced.
